DIY baby book

I will confess something, but only because I am redeeming myself in the very same post.  Deacon didn't have a baby book until last week.  I know, I know, how does one let something like that slip?  I didn't even have a plan to remedy the situation until I stumbled upon this little gem, from some fellow Richmond bloggers (and new parents!).  Inspired, I hit Michaels and got to work:

Progress has been slow, thanks to a little (okay, huge) slip of a knife while making Ellie's birthday cake.  I will spare you the details, but think deep and in between my thumb and index finger, if you can do so without feeling lightheaded.  I can't.  Hey, at least we finally got to use the birth kit

I'm so happy with how it is turning out.  I did some editing to the downloaded pages, which is the beauty of a diy baby book.  I can't even count the blanks in the others' books (Favorite babysitters?  Favorite bath toys?).  Filling it in will have to wait until I have the use of my thumb back though.

I made sure and wrote down the font/font size/font color and tucked it into the back, just in case I want to change a page later.  There will also be some mostly white pages in the back for jotting down random stories.  For now, though, there is birthday prep to be done for a little lady who will turn five on Friday.  Unbelievable.

I'm going to need info on how to do this when I come over Saturday! I have one I started for Attie but I can't fill out half of it, either, because it simply does not apply to us! This looks awesome!!! Can't wait to see you guys!
